Last night I was really sleepy, returned to the dormitory relatively early, and probably went to bed around 11 o'clock. I watched a bit of a TV series and fell asleep around 11:30. At 11 o'clock, I took a melatonin pill and felt that when I woke up in the morning, I didn't have that particularly sleepy and hard-to-wake feeling like before. It might be the effect of melatonin, or maybe I just went to bed a bit earlier, but I think it should be the effect of melatonin. Today, I looked into the effects of melatonin and didn't notice any obvious side effects. I had always been reluctant to take any sleep medications, feeling that they would affect my sleep later on, but now I feel that taking melatonin to sleep is quite good.
